f you are like most Internet entrepreneurs, you know how difficult it is to get targeted leads to your web site.

Let me tell you my story

I faced the same dilemma when I started my own Internet business in 1997. I was selling the first version of MailMachine, a simple auto responding software. During my first year, I made exactly one sale. $29.00, minus taxes.

A year later, after working as a programmer, I decided to give it another try and created a new web site. Intuitively, I added a form that asks people for their email address in order to access the page for downloading a Free Edition version.

Then I put up an auto responder that sends a simple thank you email to every person who has downloaded my software.

Bingo!

I got in touch with leads and customers. I learned about the problems with my software, about customer wishes and I had a chance to actively sell my software.

I also started my own newsletter, and back-end sales started to pour in.
